Our AUSSIE Story
From baking our first Aussie pies during lockdown to bringing the tastes and styles of Australia to Britain.
Our AUSSIE journey began in lockdown with a simple idea: make a seriously good Australian pie in Britain.
Armed with a recipe from the Australian Women’s Weekly and with plenty of time to experiment, Founder Geoff Webb - previously a Film and TV Finance Executive - started baking the pies for fun.
But the ambition quickly became bigger than recreating a taste of home. The aim was to take the humble Aussie pie and make it something special - mouth watering all butter pastry, generous fillings, great natural ingredients and flavours inspired by the large variety of Australian cultures.
What started in a home kitchen soon became a stall at the world famous Portobello Road, followed by catering, pie drop-offs and nationwide delivery through aussie-shops.com.
Today, the next chapter is Aussie Gourmet Kitchen at Kew Bridge — home to our growing range of gourmet pies, local pick-up and delivery and a base for our catering and nationwide Aussie-Shops delivery.

2022
It Started With a Pie
During lockdown, this was the first pie we ever made. At the time, we were deliriously happy with it. LOL! What began as a bit of fun in a home kitchen, soon became a mission to create a seriously good Australian pie in Britain.
2023
Taking The Pies To Portobello Market
The pies left the home kitchen and headed to Portobello Road. It was quite a leap from the boardroom to the market stall, but we wouldn't have missed it for the world. What started small, quickly built a loyal following, particularly among Australians and Brits missing a proper Aussie pie.
2024
Aussie Catering
Word spread beyond the market stall. Aussie Catering was born, taking our pies and Australian food to private parties, corporate events and some very special occasions. It soon became the go-to caterer for premium Australian events in London.
2025
Aussie Shops
Aussie Shops took the business nationwide, delivering our pies throughout the UK alongside a growing range of much-loved Australian food and drink products to customers across Britain.
2026
Aussie Gourmet Kitchen
Our next chapter: a permanent home at Kew Bridge. Aussie Gourmet Kitchen brings together our gourmet pies, local pick-up and delivery, catering and nationwide Aussie Shops business under one roof. And it provides the perfect location for a prototype of a scaleable business model to include expansion of the brand, and the products, in the UK and beyond.
